Springfield permit records

How to look up a building permit in Springfield, Oregon: which agency holds the record, which portal, and how far back it goes.

Check the county as well as the city

In much of Oregon the structural permit is a city record while the electrical permit is a county record, held in a different system. A search that finds nothing in one may simply be looking in the wrong place, which is a common cause of a panel upgrade appearing unpermitted when it was not.

Widen the date window

The state ePermitting search defaults to five years. An older permit will silently not appear, and the empty result reads like a clean history.

Use the aca-oregon.accela.com path instead. Do not publish the buildingpermits.oregon.gov hostname as a working link.
